Barcelona will be looking to claim their second consecutive victory at the start of their 2021-22 La Liga campaign when they travel to Athletic Bilbao on Saturday night.

Athletic Bilbao is a team that has been relatively successful in La Liga, but they are under pressure to improve this season and stay competitive. Last year was the first time since 2014-2015 that Athletic finished outside of the top 6 teams in Spain's highest league, which means their latest policy won't help them much because it only allows new players who can speak Basque fluently.
They were 15 points behind last year's runners up Barcelona with 38 matches played out of 42 games; however, there have been other seasons where these guys proved themselves such as claiming fourth place three years ago (2014-15), seventh two years before then (2013-14) and fifth one more time just recently back at 2016 - 2017). It would be difficult.
Barcelona is looking to reclaim their Spanish league title and finish on top of the Champions League in 2020. Last season, Barcelona won Copa del Rey but disappointed in the Champions League finishing third. Head coach Koeman has a lot of pressure with Lionel Messi's recent departure which many think put them at odds for this year's competition already over before it even started!
